“Cecilia and I have been together for six years and have always wanted to take couples photos! I finally convinced her to do it and she said she would get it all planned. She booked a session with Abby for June 26, 2019. I was so excited to take some pictures with the love of my life. Cecilia had some tricks up her sleeve though; I had no idea that she was actually planning to propose.
We began the session being sprinkled on and it made it even more fun to take some pictures in the rain. Abby had us move into a gazebo to escape the rain for a minute. Then she pulled some chalkboards out and had us write ‘one thing we loved about each other.’
I couldn’t think of anything at the time that was cute so I wrote the first thing that came to mind, ‘I love the way you tinker and fix things.’ Hindsight, I should have written something better than that! When Abby had us turn around, Cecilia was on one knee and her sign said, ‘Will you marry me?’ I was shocked, I had no idea that she was going to ask me! I, of course, said yes and couldn’t be more excited to spend my life with her.” —from Ruth, one half of the couple
