Photoshoot reveals 100 years of wedding dresses
We’re amazed by the 100 years of wedding dresses project, which pulls together a vast array of traditional and nontraditional bridal looks from the turn of the 19th century until present day. Brides can find inspiration in the different effects achieved with color, retro and vintage looks. Glorious gowns and bridal models made for a gorgeous photoshoot at Edgewater Hall, the original location of Staten Island Savings Bank which was later used as a speakeasy frequented by the Vanderbilts and Barrymores during the Prohibition Era. Now it makes for a dramatic wedding venue and ideal for the 100 years of wedding dresses photo shoot. The creative direction of Alexandra Nyman; ambiance and lighting provided by Shadow and Sound; the gowns and accessories from Staten Island shops Monkey Girlz Boutique, Every Thing Goes Clothing, Hey Viv!, and Bossina Couture; sponsorship by Chez Vous Catering; and the photography by Noelle Kraft and photography direction by Sebastian Barbera made the entire ensemble a work of art.
