Jess and Raquel’s dreamy November wedding took place on a sparkling sunny day in Fort Worth, Texas.
The day was filled with joy, and the earthy decor included a floral geometric arch, twinkling lights, and candlelit chandeliers.
In the planning of the wedding, Raquel and Jess were met with unfortunate challenges, including discrimination from prospective vendors.
Through it all, they learned to never settle for anything less than what they want.
“Trust your gut feeling…There are vendors who can give you what you need and celebrate your love.”
The couple also found solace in online LGBTQ+ groups where they could share resources and gain support. Psst, join Equally Wed’s private Facebook group for LGBTQ+ couples planning their weddings!
In the end, they had a beautiful wedding, and they are happy they went after exactly what they envisioned for their big day.
“Remember that it is your wedding and you can choose and deserve what you have always dreamed of,” they say “Family and friends will want to input and help but what most matters is what you want.”
