By Anne Chertoff
Khris Cochran aka The DIY Bride just launched her third wedding book, The DIY Bride An Affair to Remember ($21.95). Couples looking for creative do-it-yourself ideas for their wedding will love the format, which divides the book into weddings based on location or theme: Beach, Fairy Tale, Exotic Destination, A Touch of Country, Bright Lights, Big City and The New Modern.
Each chapter is filled with unique wedding details you can easily do on your own or plan a crafting party with members of the wedding party to help out. Each craft is broken down with photos so you can easily follow the instructions, and also includes a breakdown of how much each craft will cost to create.
My favorite feature is the FAQ section in the beginning, which answers common DIY-related questions, such as: Why isn’t the adhesive holding the paper together? Why isn’t the floral tape working? And how do I prevent the ink from smearing? There is also a resource guide with information on where to find the supplies listed with each of the 40 projects, and a crafting tool guide.
