Kayla and Kristina celebrated their engagement with a photo session on the beach in Port Aransas, Texas, a spot at which they spent many hours during their five years of dating.
At sunrise, the pair strolled the beach beneath a glowing pink sky. They enjoyed a picnic in the sand dunes, listened to music, popped champagne and splashed in the waves.
The couple got engaged on a very special trip to Disney World.ย Kayla and her mom had a family tradition of visiting the park twice a year.
โFive years later,” Kristina says, “and it was my time to partake in this family tradition of going to Disney World. Marriage was never a shy subject and I had hoped and prayed that this trip would be the start to that. However, once we were there I completely forgot about the countless hours we have gushed over the idea of being engaged one day and just indulged in the magic that is Disney!โ ”
But then it happened.
“Kayla wanted to take photos in front of the waterfall next to Pandora. It was then, after a couple poses and a kiss, as I began to walk away, Kayla grabbed my hand, got down on one knee and proposed. I was so shocked, I just remember crying, saying yes, OBVIOUSLY, and taking in the moment with my, now fiancรฉ!โ
