Gold gala wedding reception inspiration from Engage!23 The Boca Raton

Three or four times a year, some of the wedding industry’s most creative and talented wedding pros gather at a gorgeous locale for the Engage! Luxury Wedding Summit. Founded in 2008 by Disney Fairy Tale Weddings alums Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce, the global conference attracts wedding pros who serve ultra high-net worth and high-net worth clients, and those aspiring to work on those weddings. The latest Engage! was held Dec. 11-14, at The Boca Raton in Boca Raton, Fla., a five-star, 200-acre waterfront retreat with impeccable customer service. Days packed with enriching education and evenings beating one another with best-night-ever vibes culminated with the final farewell: a gold gala celebrating the gilded designs of 1940s — perfect wedding inspiration for a gold reception.

Guests were provided with a style guide for inspiration to select their shimmering gold and bronze gowns and suits. Handcrafted cocktails and Seedlip mocktails were passed along with myriad hors d’oeuvres, while plated culinary delights such as gin-and-tonic cured salmon crudo; a salad with champagne poached white asparagus; and lobster-crowned filet mignon impressed seated diners. Élan Artists brought their A-game as usual with its lineup of classical and contemporary musicians, bringing out a surprise guest, Flo Rida, who delivered a lengthy sweat-worthy performance of singing, dancing, tequila shot-pouring, shoulder-riding and guest-engaging. It was an epic night, and one you can recreate in part for your own wedding with phenomenal wedding vendors, 1940s-inspired decor, an abundance of candles and a glittering gold color palette.
