Getting ready to pop the question is nerve-wracking enough, but with Hurricane Sandy ominously approaching, threatening to wreak havoc on her proposal plans, Rosana Gambino suddenly found herself in a much more challenging situation than expected.

“Of course we knew that Sandy, the Frankenstorm, was on her way but as the day grew nearer, so did the looming threat of my beautifully planned proposal being washed down the drains of Massachusetts Avenue. So I grew anxious, restless and needless to say, bitchy,” she writes on her blog.
Not only was she planning to simply get down on one knee, but she had orchestrated a flashmob to do so, which obviously takes a significant amount of planning. Thankfully, it went off without a hitch. As the adorable couple set out on their anniversary date attending a ghost tour (a reenactment of their first date), her girlfriend, Jerilyn, was oblivious to Rosana’s scheme which included dance troupes from Northeastern University, friends and family members to witness, and a DJ. As the pair rounded the corner to Chris Brown’s Forever, Jerilyn was still in the dark. As the song shifted to Bruno Mars’ Marry Me, Rosana jumped in.

“Finally it’s my turn and I swing around to kiss her before I casually walk into the mob and start dancing along with them. She admits later that she really thought I was just joining in the flashmob because I thought I knew what I was doing—which i would never do … cough. A few moments later I’m down on one knee, asking the girl that changed my life to let me be in hers forever.”
