A red carpet relationship debut in March had the gay internet abuzz as fans poured out their excitement for the new couple: Lukas Gage, an American actor known for his roles in Euphoria, The White Lotus and You, and Chris Appleton, a British hairstylist known for his work with the Kardashians and other high-profile Hollywood celebs.

Sources tell PEOPLE that Gage and Appleton were engaged within weeks of the couple’s Vanity Fair appearance and Gage’s sharing how happy they are together on the Today Show. Us Weekly reports that the lovers got engaged before they even had rings, opting to pick out custom engagement bands together. The power couple has yet to publicly confirm the news, but in a recent interview with E! News, Appleton did nothing to deny the rumored engagement when asked about plans for their wedding day, just noting that the two are happy together, “very much in love” and enjoying their shared travel adventures.
In an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Appleton mused about his partnership with Gage: “I feel very grateful to be able to share my time with someone very special. It’s actually just about love, and love is just so special. And I think to see someone find love is really heartfelt. It’s such a fun thing to be a part of and it’s a happy moment.”
