Country crooner Miranda Lambert recently wed her sweetheart Blake Shelton. For the May 14 nuptials, she wore her mother’s ivory wedding gown. She told US Weekly she considered it a good-luck charm since her parents have been happily married for 33 years.
In a post this week on TresSugar.com, writer/editor Tara Sharp posted a photo of her own mother’s wedding gown, along with another of site editor Annie’s mom, and considered how she felt about wearing an heirloom gown.
What do you think? Would you wear your mother’s wedding gown, slice it up like Tess did in “27 Dresses” or do you want to don a completely different dress (or suit) all your own for your big day?
