As the wait for New York’s Senate to pass the same-sex marriage bill continues, CNN aired this touching video of Richard Dorr, 84, and John Mace, 91, who have been together for 61 years, and are hoping to have their union legally recognized.
The New York Senate is expected to vote on the same-sex marriage bill this week.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says it would grant same-sex couples equal rights to marry “as well as hundreds of rights, benefits and protections that are currently limited to married couples of the opposite sex.”
