President Barack Obama
President Barack Obama’s evolution—on gay marriage—just might be complete. The Washington Blade reports “an informed source” believes Obama will endorse marriage equality before the November election, given marriage equality’s growing media visibility and state ballot initiatives.
The White House and Obama campaign are evenly divided on when his transition should take place. With that said, the administration hopes to introduce another LGBT-friendly initiative before November.
Another benefit of the evolution, AmericaBLOG Editor John Aravosis said, is making Obama completely different from the Republican field of presidential candidates.
