Red and gray styled wedding at Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco

Jutta Lammerts of A Day Like No Other wedding event planning and design, a preferred Equally Wed vendor, pooled her talents with a lineup of other equality-minded wedding vendors to create this styled shoot for the real couple, Tom and Brad. From Jutta: For the styled shoot, I was inspired by the idea of two elegant men getting married in a modern, ultra-luxurious urban setting at dusk, with the city lights coming on. For the decor and color scheme I created something sleek, refined and masculine but still festive—no frills! I used a dark red as the accent color on a backdrop of platinum gray, and for the setting I chose the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown San Francisco.

In accordance with the “high elegance” theme, the grooms wore tuxes and custom-made identical platinum wedding bands set with a single diamond; their “elopement dinner” took place in the Presidential Suite, and floral decor was sculptural and sleek. For the cake, I chose a classic shape but modern color scheme – call it a riff on the traditional “grooms’ cake!”

Our models are actually a couple in real life, which made their interactions so much easier and credible—and, believe it or not, they got inspired by our photo shoot for their own personal plans! Like, “This could actually be our wedding—why not?!”
