Surprise! Rosie O’Donnell is married!
We were shocked (and very happy!) to learn that O’Donnell and her fiancée, Michelle Rounds, tied the knot in a private ceremony in June. That’s two months of keeping a very big secret!
The couple had planned on an August 2012 wedding but when Rounds was diagnosed with desmoid tumors, a rare disease that affects three out of every million people, the couple decided to exchange vows before her first surgery in mid-June.
“We married in private before [Michelle’s] surgery, just the [two] of us,” O’Donnell wrote on her blog.
The simple ceremony was just between the two of them, but once they both have their health restored (O’Donnell recently suffered from a heart attack) they plan on having their dream wedding. “When we r both well enough will have the wedding of r dreams surrounded by those we cherish.”
