Years ago when a couple said they wanted a photo booth at their wedding they would rent a machine that would take four shots and spit out two strips of images. The newlyweds would keep one for their wedding scrapbook and guests would go home with a party favor. Today couples are creating photo booth sets with creative backdrops and props for guests to take formal and whimsical photos. And since everythingโs digital, everyone at the wedding can receive an email or CD of their photos.
Here are some creative prop ideas you may want to purchase for your weddingโs photobooth:

9-Piece Sparkle and Shine Glitter Photo Booth Party Props in mustaches, glasses and lips. Choose from over a dozen colors. Available at kschumann03โs Simply Fabulous Etsy shop for $28.50.

Whisker Works sells a large selection of mustaches and lip styles on sticks. Prices vary depending on styles and quantity ordered.

Chalkboard speech bubbles allow guests to write what theyโre thinking as they take a photo. Etsy has a number of shops selling different shapes and sizes of saying bubbles. The one shown here is $14.50 by tlgcrafts.
I recommend limiting the photo booth to the cocktail hour so guests participate in the reception. Brides and grooms will not feel the love of friends and family if theyโre the only ones on the dance floor. If youโre having an after party, you can open up the photobooth then, too.
