Marriage equality made it to the stage. A star-studded cast performed 8 live Saturday, which is Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black’s depiction of the Proposition 8 trial—based on actual court transcripts, courant.com reports.

George Clooney plays Theodore Olson, one of the plantiff’s lawyers
The American Foundation of Equal Rights live-streamed the performance at afer.org. Jamie Lee Curtis and Christine Lahti starred as Kris Perry and Sandy Stier, while Matt Bomer and Matthew Morrison portrayed Paul Katami & Jeff Zarrillo.

They were at the center of Perry v. Schwarzenegger. Defendants have fought to keep video footage from the public.
Brad Pitt starred as openly gay Judge Vaughn Walker, while George Clooney portrayed one of the plaintiff’s lawyers, Theodore Olson. Kevin Bacon served as defendant’s counsel.
