Summer camp wedding weekend in the Cascade Mountains

April and Jenny had a colorful September summer camp-themed wedding weekend in the Cascade Mountains of Marblemount, Washington.

From the couple: “We planned for the ‘Hell Yes!’ summer camp/wedding weekend we wanted for ourselves and our community, and got so much more than we could have imagined. We had as many of our beloved friends and family as could fit stay with us in the remote landscape of the North Cascades at the green-powered North Cascades Institute Environmental Learning Center. We indulged in the warmth of community, the surrounding mountains and water and locally-sourced, seasonal, and vegetable-centered food. Our ceremony, a version of a Quaker ceremony, honored all who were present and called upon our community to support us in our future life together. The weekend closed perfectly with dancing under the stars, drinking around the campfire and a hearty brunch before departing with full hearts. We are beyond grateful to have been able to celebrate our love in the way that was just right for us.”
