We set out originally to do things we typically don’t get to do in the wedding industry. While all of us are well versed in weddings, it’s always about elegance, softness and femininityโeven inescapable with male-identified couples looking for something with more edge. Rich tones done in a way that defies wedding standards while keeping the intimacy and romance throughout the day. Leather accents on the invitations, glassware and untypical plants in the florals, as well as a geometric inspired three-tiered cake.
Nic and Tarek are a real couple who used real elements of their life in this shoot, including the stump of their first Christmas tree. We wanted to maintain the passion and complete love they have for each other while creating a palette for those wanting to move against the wedding lace and cream norm. As couples move to marry the ones they love, the wedding industry must be revolutionized to include tastes from everyone, and we’ve worked to accomplish that in this.ย โย Jamie Carle
