Congratulations are in order to marriage equality supporter Zoe Saldana who reportedly married Marco Perego, a soccer player turned artist, in June. US Weekly has the full breaking news story, which includes only limited details of the Star Trek star’s romantic and super secret ceremony in London. Saldana might have broken more than a few women’s hearts. Earlier this year, she told Allure Magazine she could see herself marrying a woman.
“[I might] end up with a woman raising my children…that’s how androgynous I am!” says Saldana. And if she does, she would have the blessing of her Puerto Rican and Dominican parents, who Saldana explains “raised [her] that open[ly].”
So is Saldana a lesbian? Bisexual? It doesn’t seem like she wants to label herself, which, really, who does? She told Allure: “Promise me one thing: You’re going to ask this question [in the article]—if you choose to, just put three dots as my response.
