Natalie (she/her) and Tori (she/her) met in college when they were placed in the same dorm during their freshman year of college. After knowing each other for about a year, they went kayaking and hiking on their first date, and the rest is history. Natalie popped the question after six years of dating at one of their favorite vacation spots, a beach in Provincetown.

The couple married on a chilly, rainy November day in the mountains of Chittenden, Vermont. They chose a black-and-white color scheme with elegant greenery and rustic accents. Natalie and Tori got ready for the wedding in two separate houses with members of their respective parties, followed by an intimate first look against the backdrop of the mountains.

Natalie chose a custom white suit jacket with black accents for the pockets and pocket square lining, matching the wedding party’s all-black theme. Tori’s dress meshed classic and modern styles with a fit-and-flare lace gown with an illusion back.

Initially, their ceremony was supposed to be held outside, but given the rain that day, the plan changed, and their indoor barn reception space transformed into a ceremony site with beautiful white drapes, lanterns and fairy lights placed across the ceiling. Natalie and Tori kept their florals classic, with all-white blooms and green accents. They also chose anemones for both Tori’s bouquet and Natalie’s boutonniere. The pair wanted a central flower that was special between the two of them, and Natalie has anemones as part of her tattoo sleeve.

The reception started with the classic first dance, after which the couple danced with their parents. The rest of the reception was full of more dancing and celebrating, including a dessert table in place of a wedding cake, with a variety of the newlywed’s favorite cookies and cupcakes. The dessert sign read “Love is sweet,” and we couldn’t agree more.
