Kelsey and Brittany met in Scottsdale, Arizona through an app called HER. They knew they were right for each other from the very first date.
“I thought Brittany was gorgeous and loved her style,” says Kelsey. “I felt that Brittany was reserved and I couldn’t get a full gage of what she was looking for. However, I loved the chase and was intrigued as she was the perfect type of girl for me.”
Brittany adds, “I loved Kelsey’s laid back personality and felt as if she was very welcoming as she initiated a hug as she approached me. We hit it off very quickly with easy conversation and played games/people watched as we enjoyed drinks that night. The night was filled with laughter and she had my attention rather quickly.”
The Proposal
Kelsey proposed at a winery in Tuscany, Italy.
“Kelsey asked to take a photo of me overlooking the view and when I turned around she was down on one knee with a ring in hand,” Brittany says. “Instantly I was filled with emotion and excited to say ‘YES.’ We were both so excited that I don’t think Kelsey ever even asked the question. The moment was captured and we had a photo session after with a champagne toast in the vineyards.”
The Wedding
When they started planning, the couple knew right away they wanted a destination wedding. They got married in gorgeous Tulum, Mexico and describe their wedding as having a “bohemian, beach casual vibe” and “simple, yet personal.”
“We both looked gorgeous and had a hard time taking our eyes off of each other all night,” Brittany says.
“We felt famous with all of the photos and attention given to us. Walking down the aisle seemed surreal as we truly had a hard time envisioning that this day would happen with the pandemic. It was truly a special day that we got to share between us two and all of our family and friends who could make it. It was a perfect size wedding, very intimate and what we had always imagined.”
