Matt and Scott’s small Texas ranch wedding

There’s no doubt that Scott and Matt took care of all the details when it came to planning their wedding on a ranch in Texas. This wedding had tons of amazing features that were a hit with guests, from perfectly named signature cocktails to adorable signage to the most important part of the wedding – the grooms (who of course had paid attention to detail and wore complimentary suits and ties)!

From their photographer, Cory Ryan: “When you are greeted at Star Hill Ranch by a large taxidermy buffalo, you know this is going to be one awesome wedding! Alongside their best friends, Scott & Matt got ready together in the grooms cottage. I love it when couples get dressed side by side, and help each other with the finishing touches of their snappy blue suits โ€“ it just makes for such intimate and romantic photos! We wandered around the sprawling property for coupleโ€™s photos, before signing the marriage certificate surrounded by their family in the little white chapel. The ceremony took place down by the pavilion, with a mix of chairs and long wooden pews for guests. Instead of a traditional aisle down the middle, this modern couple opted for long rows and a hilarious sign saying โ€œSit on the groomsโ€™ sideโ€. The couplesโ€™ proud mothers walked them down the aisle arm-in-arm, and Mattโ€™s uncle acted as officiant, declaring โ€œScott, I now declare you married to my nephew!โ€ Guests then mingled over signature Whiskey & Pimmโ€™s Cup cocktails while Scott & Matt rang the church bell and celebrated! Guests were treated to an extraordinarily delicious al fresco dinner by Gourmet Gals under the string lights, and stunningly creative fruit-infused floral table arrangements by friend Travis Ward. We stole the newlyweds away for a quick sunset session, and I am so glad we made it happen, because the photos are just pure magic! A live band kicked off the first dance, which then evolved into Mother-Son dances about half way throughโ€ฆ so sweet! Silhouette artist Cindi Rose created single and double-couple silhouettes as guest favors and to be glued into a custom guest book. What an original and unique idea! Since Scott has a background in theater and lighting design, and some of the ILIOS lighting techs were ex-students of Scottโ€™s, the reception lighting and colors were fun, punchy & plentiful! After dancing the night away, the couple exited to bubbles and the cheers of loved ones.”
