@claudiasorianomunoz Love you!♥✨

the other day, someone asked me, “whose this little guy”? and i proudly responded, “my step-son, shaddon”. boogie looked up at me and very sure of himself he said to the stranger, “im her real son!” this may not seem like a big deal, but for this blended, two-mom crew, words matter. a lot. weve been trying to steer away from the “real” parent/auntie/family language because its so often defined by a bloodline, but there was something about the way shaddon didnt hesitate even for a moment about who we were, the way he grabbed my hand, like he has done so many times before, with such trust and pride. i followed up with him shortly after on what he would feel more comfortable with me saying, step-son or son, and he said “son. it just feels right.” for most, this means nothing, but for us, its everything. weve navigated a lot as a family, and get asked more often than not: “whose the mom?” or “ok, whose the ‘real’ mom?” for us, the answers have always been more complex (growing up and still living in heteronormative environments), but for shaddon, its all very simple- he listens to his heart and gut to find what feels right. 🤴 #bucketlistbrides #loveshowsup #twomomcrew 📸: @wintercreativeco

Happy Mother’s Day! This day is wonderful, but can also be painful for so many. For those who have suffered the loss of a child, your own mother, suffered a miscarriage, fertility warriors or estranged from your mother.. I see you. And my heart is with you today. Also, shout out to my amazing wife. You are part super hero and part magickal fucking fairy dust. ✨ You make parenting so fun and I couldn’t imagine doing this crazy life without you. 🖤 Oh, and much love to my own mother. The strongest woman I know. ✊🏽 . Thank you @humanrightscampaign for our matching tee’s! . . . . #mothersday #2moms #happymothersday #queerfamily #equality #mifamilia #uniteinmotherhood #myworld #humanrightscampaign #loveyourmother #girlgang #motherhood
