On Thursday, hundreds of same-sex couples in Washington lined up in the wee hours of the morning to obtain their marriage licenses. With the stateโs obligatory three-day waiting period, legally recognized gay and lesbian weddings will start taking place on Sunday, December 9. To celebrate, longtime supporters of the LGBT community Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will be featuring special promotions at their various Seattle locations to couples who will be among the first legally recognized same-sex weddings.

At the Hotel Vintage Park:
When: Sunday, December 9
What: The hotel has created a โLegally Wedโ rate of $74 for Sunday night (normally $174). The hotel is also offering a complimentary stay in the Chateau Ste. Michelle Suite as a wedding gift to the first couple to get married. They will be hosting a Champagne toast during a complimentary wine hour for all couples that night.

Fine print: Must be for LGBT couples only. Must have gotten newly married as of 12/6/12โ12/9/12 only and show marriage license at check-in.

At the Alexis Hotel:
When: Starting Friday, December 7, 2012โMarch 31, 2013
What: The hotel has created โSuite On Youโ package for $174/night for a luxurious and spacious suite along with complimentary Champagne.

At Tulio Ristorante:
When: December 9-December 31
What: Same-sex couples are invited to stop by Tulio Ristorante. With the purchase of a meal (dinner, lunch, brunch) theyโll receive โFrench 74โ (the Tulio version) so they can toast their new marriage.
Fine print: For LGBT couples only. Must be married on December 9, with proof of marriage license.
