When Sarah and Kelly first met, they knew that they were meant to be together. They had no idea, however, that a wedding would come into the picture. Once they realized that they both wanted to be married (to each other!), they set about to planning their perfect wedding in the lovely outdoors of Colorado.
From Kelly and Sarah:
Not long after we met, we both knew right away that we were going to be together. Like, forever. But a marriage and a wedding? It took awhile for us to realize that those things could be ours, too, and then to confirm with each other—”You want to get married? To me? Should we? YES!”
We didn’t know the first thing about planning a wedding, but we knew that OUR wedding had to be heavy on three things: beauty, food, and dancing all night. We got all three, but we especially nailed the dancing part. Everyone was on the floor! We still say to each other, “Remember that one song at our wedding, when your grandma and great aunt were out dancing? And then my gay cousin grabbed your mom and twirled her around the floor? That was so fun!” Things we also got that we weren’t entirely expecting: a beautiful day in the middle of a week of awful rain in the area, the appearance (illusion) of complete organization, endless love and support from EVERYONE in our family, and all of our friends. Wow. We would relive our wedding again and again if it were possible … it could not have been a more perfect day.
