Andrew and Tavion’s Greenville, South Carolina, summer LGBTQ+ wedding with a rose petal exit had so many gorgeous elements. The couple hosted a gorgeous day of celebration and love for their friends and family.
From their photographer, Jessica Hunt of Jessica Hunt Photography:
Andrew and Tavion did an incredible job of planning their wedding day from top to bottom. They put in a lot of intentional planning into each part of their day, from their details to their reception and everywhere in between. I absolutely loved photographing all of the special pieces they provided for me as they prepared for their wedding day.
The couple decided to get dressed together and help each other prepare for their wedding day in the same room as opposed to preparing for their day separately. I absolutely loved photographing these intimate moments between these two as they got ready. Their sweet laughs and kisses while they helped each other into their tuxes and bowties are some I’ll never forget.
Once their tuxes were on and cufflinks placed, we stepped outside Noah’s Event Venue to photograph them together as a couple prior to their ceremony. We didn’t need to fake a first look between these two, because they got ready together! It was so nice to just hop right into portraits with them!
Now you might recognize these two! Andrew and Tavion actually live in the Washington, D.C. area, and you might recognize them from their LGBTQ+ D.C. monument engagement photos published in Equally Wed last year.
After we finished up with their LBGTQ+ wedding portraits together, we moved on to photographing the entire wedding party together with the grooms prior to the ceremony as well. I absolutely love it when couples choose to do most of their portraits prior to the ceremony on wedding days, because it allows them to get to their reception and their guests much faster after their vows!
Andrew and Tavion’s wedding ceremony was sweet, intimate and absolutely beautiful. They shared vows of forever and brought each other to tears with their words. I went to high school with Andrew (fun fact!), and it was so fulfilling to see him share such a deep, loving connection with a partner. Seeing your friends happy and in love is just something special, right?
After their LGBTQ+ wedding ceremony, we stepped outside to grab a few more portraits of the couple and their wedding party together. I love how fun some of these frames are, and I always love having a good time with my couples and their wedding party on wedding days.
Andrew, Tavion and all of their guests celebrated the night away at their reception with a heartfelt first dance, a few sweet toasts, cutting a gorgeous Bonnie Brunt cake, and all the dancing one could ever need! And, they ended their wedding day with a rose petal exit to round out the night of fun and dancing.
