Heather Pearson, a Slytherin from Portland, Oregon, spent over a year planning an elaborate Harry Potter-themed wizard scavenger hunt to propose to her girlfriend of three years, Kelsey Stacy. The two are dedicated fans of the series and celebrated their first anniversary at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Heather asked Stacy to help plan a Hogwarts-themed party and invited her on a scavenger hunt on Halloween. Heather dressed up as Draco, while Kelsey was in costume as his future wife, Astoria.

The scavenger hunt had Kelsey find the first three Harry Potter books in Little Free Libraries. Then they went back to their apartment building, where Heather was waiting on the rooftop in the pouring rain with the fourth book—Kelsey’s favorite—designed by an artist to spell “Marry Me?” within its folded pages.
